UNIMED lecturer recognized in top 2 percent scientists worldwide

Dr. Peter Olumuyiwa James, a lecturer at the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has been recognised among the top two percent scientists worldwide.

The recognition was the second of its kind as he was in 2024 given similar recognition.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe while congratulating the lecturer, praised his achievement, saying he has placed the university on global map.

She said “I congratulate Dr. Peter Olumuyiwa on this remarkable feat. This is a testament to the hard work and excellence for which UNIMED and its staff are known for. We are proud of this accomplishment,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

Dr. Peter Olumuyiwa James is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

His research focuses on Biomathematics, Infectious Disease Modelling, Artificial Intelligence, and Image Processing.

The data used for the ranking was verified and sourced from Elsevier and Stanford University’s Top two percent Scientists List.
