The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, has released its 2026/2027 UTME merit admission cut-off marks, ending months of waiting by candidates seeking admission into the institution.
Medicine and Surgery has the highest merit cut-off mark at 83, followed by Computer Engineering at 82.175 and Computer Science at 82.05. Mechanical Engineering requires 79.275, Law 79.125 and Dentistry 79.025.
Announcing the marks yesterday, the university said: “Prospective students, parents/guardians and other members of the public are hereby informed that the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially released the UTME merit admission cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 academic session.”
For Medicine and Surgery, which has a merit mark of 83, the catchment cut-offs are Lagos, 79.1; Ekiti, 79.425; Oyo, 80.05; Ogun, 81.75; Ondo, 81.35 and Osun, 79.825.
In the Faculty of Architecture, Architecture has a cut-off mark of 72.9.
For the Faculty of Arts, English requires 68.15; French, 64; Russian, 55.45; German, 69.125; History and Strategic Studies, 70.8; Linguistics/Yoruba, 60.35; Linguistics, 72.575; Chinese, 71.625; Philosophy, 67.725; Christian Religious Studies, 55.825; and Islamic Religious Studies, 56.35.
The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences has Anatomy, 72.7; Pharmacology, 74.275; and Physiology, 71.125.

In the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Mass Communication requires 74.6; Public Relations, 61.225 and Broadcasting, 63.1.
Cut-off marks in the Faculty of Computing and Informatics are Artificial Intelligence, 53.2; Computer Science, 82.05; Cybersecurity, 66.075; and Software Engineering, 59.25.
In the Faculty of Creative Arts, Music has 63.45; Film Production, 69.625; Theatre Arts, 71.5; and Fine and Applied Arts, 66.53.
The Faculty of Dental Sciences has Dentistry at 79.025. In the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics has a merit cut-off of 73.625; Political Science, 65.65; Public Administration, 70.475; and Geography, 55.7.
The Faculty of Education, which has the largest number of programmes listed, recorded cut-off marks ranging from 49.65 for Education Economics to 66.7 for Education Integrated Science.
