Mr. Anthony Ukadike Enunwa has passed.
Aged 76, AUE as he was fondly called, was a partner with Coopers & Lybrand (C&L) Nigeria from 1976 to 1998. He led the merger for C&L with Price Waterhouse to form PricewaterhouseCoopers Nigeria (PwC) and served as Partner-in-charge of Consumer and Industrial Products Services Practice for the Audit and Assurance business of PwC Nigeria until he retired in 2003.
He was a model professional who had enormous impact on the accounting profession in Nigeria right from his time as a lecturer at the University of Lagos throughout his career with C&L and PwC.
He was a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and served the institute in several capacities during his active years. He was also an Associate Member (ACMA) of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of London (CIMA).
A statement by the family signed by Mr Ebele Enunwa, managing director/CEO of Sundry Foods Limited died on Monday, July 10.
According to the statement, the late patriarch of the Enunwa family had a good heart, strict moral compass and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Alero Josephine Enunwa, children (Ebele, Uche and Chidubem Enunwa) and numerous grandchildren.
Burial Activities would be announced by the family.
