The University of Ibadan (UI) has released the cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 admission exercise for candidates who chose the institution as their first choice.
The cut-off marks cover programmes across the university’s faculties and colleges, with Medicine and Surgery recording the highest mark of 80.
Software Engineering followed with 75.375, while Nursing Science had 74.5 and Computer Science 74.125. Dentistry recorded 72.875, Electrical and Electronics Engineering 71.25, Law 71, Pharmacy 70.375 and Mechanical Engineering 70.
Other high-demand programmes included Accounting, 69.5; Physiotherapy, 68.5; Medical Laboratory Science, 68; Biomedical Engineering, 68; Civil Engineering, 65.875; Petroleum Engineering, 65; Communication and Language Arts, 61.375; Pharmacology, 57.875; Banking and Finance, 56.875; Economics, 54.25; Linguistics, 53.375; Theatre Arts, 53; Veterinary Medicine, 55; and Cybersecurity, 55.75.
In the Faculty of Education, Education/English recorded 52, while Education/Political Science had 51. The remaining 24 programmes in the faculty had a cut-off mark of 50.
Other News
The six programmes under the Faculty of Agriculture also recorded a cut-off mark of 50.
In the Faculty of Arts, 14 programmes had a cut-off mark of 50, while English recorded 51.625.
For the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, the cut-off mark for seven programmes was 50. Geology recorded 52.375, while other programmes under the Faculty of Science had cut-off marks of 50.
In the Faculty of Social Sciences, four programmes had cut-off marks of 50.
The university also applied different cut-off marks to candidates from its catchment areas and educationally disadvantaged states, in line with its admission guidelines.
