Manchester United have reached a full agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Manuel Ugarte, paying an initial £42.2m with potential add-ons reaching £50.7m (€60m).

Ugarte, a primary target for United, is expected in the UK for a medical and to finalize personal terms.

PSG initially sought the full £51.1m (€60m) they paid Sporting Lisbon last summer, but a compromise was reached.

According to Sky Sports News, Ugarte was in favour of moving to Old Trafford and did not care about the personal terms. Both teams want a long-term agreement, but there was also talk of a loan with a purchase requirement.

United’s sales of Facundo Pellistri and Hannibal Mejbri paved the way for Ugarte’s arrival. The midfielder, known for his tackling prowess, was absent from PSG’s recent Ligue 1 opener.
