Supporters raise over N219m

Former Imo State Governors Chief Achike Udenwa and Emeka Ihedioha have led a fundraising drive for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Owerri, with supporters raising N230 million for the party’s operations.
Udenwa, in his speech, expressed optimism that ADC would make significant gains in the 2027 elections, citing the party’s strong presence in the state. He urged members to unite and take the party to their wards, saying, “Our people will join ADC when they see us.”

Ihedioha, who led his supporters in donating N230 million, emphasised the party’s commitment to rescuing Nigerians from various challenges.
Earlier, Dr James Okoroma, the State ADC chairman, praised the party’s growth, saying they have established strong structures in Imo’s 305 wards.
The event saw Paul Mbadiwe, son of Kingsley Mbadiwe, the late former prime minister of the First Republic, officially defect to ADC.
