Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara has showered praise on Victor Osimhen following the club’s emphatic 5-2 victory over Juventus in their UEFA Champions League playoff first leg.
The Turkish champions delivered a statement performance at RAMS Park on Tuesday night, overwhelming the Serie A giants with pace and precision. Sara opened the scoring and later added an assist, setting the tone for a ruthless attacking display that left the visitors chasing shadows for long spells.
Osimhen, however, was once again at the heart of the storm. The Nigerian striker provided two assists, teeing up Noah Lang and Sacha Boey for Galatasaray’s fourth and fifth goals respectively. Beyond the numbers, his movement, pressing and physical presence unsettled Juventus’ backline throughout the contest.

The former Napoli forward has now registered six goals and two assists in seven Champions League appearances this season a return that underlines his growing influence since arriving in Istanbul. On a night of high stakes, he rose to the occasion.
Speaking after the game, Sara did not hide his admiration for his teammate’s contribution. “Osimhen is also a very valuable player for us. We knew it would be very difficult. Football can be very unforgiving,” the Brazilian told the club’s official website.
With a three-goal cushion heading into the return leg, Galatasaray have one foot in the next round. Yet if they are to finish the job against a wounded Juventus, much will again depend on Osimhen’s sharpness and the cohesion that powered this unforgettable European night.
