Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has praised Harry Amass, Patrick Dorgu and Shea Lacey following the club’s 4-0 UEFA Champions League victory over Sabah on Thursday.
United secured a comfortable win at Old Trafford through goals from Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko and Lisandro Martinez.
Speaking after the match, Carrick singled out Amass, Dorgu and Lacey for their performances against the visitors.
The United boss said he was pleased with the trio’s displays as the team began their Champions League campaign with a convincing victory.
“Delighted with being able to get Harry on the pitch — and Shea. It’s something we were focused on as the game developed,” Carrick said.
“It’s important to get the younger boys on the pitch for this football club, so I’m pleased with both of them. I thought Pat [Dorgu] played ever so well; he was a big threat down that side of the pitch for us tonight, so I was pleased with Pat.”
Man United’s next match is against Manchester City in the Premier League derby on Sunday.
