Arsenal made history on Wednesday, playing 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg.

The game was held in the Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain, where Viktor Gyokeres and Julian Alvarez scored goals for their respective teams.

According to OptaJoe, Arsenal has now equalled its longest ever unbeaten run in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, going 13 games without defeat for the second time – the first time was in March 2005 and April 2006.

Arsenal will now shift their attention to the Premier League this weekend as they will welcome Fulham to the Emirates Stadium.

After the Fulham game, Mikel Arteta’s side will take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg at home.
