Twenty compete for Betano – The Next Titan’s N50m prize

Betano-The Next Titan

Twenty young entrepreneurs will compete for a ₦50 million grand prize as premier entrepreneur reality TV show, Betano-The Next Titan, returns for its 11th season.

Premiering tomorrow, October 3 on DStv Africa Magic Family, before hitting TVC Entertainment, HIPTV and Silverbird Network the following day, the programme will take viewers into the realities of entrepreneurship, combining business competition, mentorship, innovation and entertainment.

The Season 11 finalists were unveiled in Lagos following a rigorous selection process that saw 75 contestants advance to the bootcamp stage. From the group, 20 exceptional entrepreneurs would move into the Titan House, where they will participate in a series of challenges designed to test their knowledge, creativity, leadership and ability to execute under pressure.

Speaking, Executive Producer of Betano-The Next Titan Nigeria, Mide Akinlaja, said the programme was established to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit among Nigerians and provide aspiring business owners with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities before a national audience.

According to him, the show is designed to identify young people with innovative ideas and the right attitude to turn those ideas into viable businesses, while also presenting them as role models to millions of Nigerians.

Over the next 10 weeks, the contestants will face business tasks, innovation challenges, strategic decision-making exercises and real-world execution scenarios. They will also participate in mentorship sessions and undergo weekly eliminations as they compete for a place in the final stage.

Akinlaja stated that the programme goes beyond the pursuit of prize money, by giving viewers an opportunity to see the realities of building and managing businesses.

He described the show as a platform that portrays both the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship, allowing audiences to witness contestants make decisions, solve problems and execute business ideas under competitive conditions.

For the contestants, the ₦50 million prize represents an opportunity to establish new businesses, expand existing ventures or strengthen their entrepreneurial ambitions.

Beyond the financial reward, the competition will expose them to mentorship, business strategy, national television visibility and practical experience.

For more than a decade, The Next Titan Nigeria has positioned entrepreneurship at the centre of its TV format, using competition and entertainment to encourage young Nigerians to explore business ownership, innovation and self-reliance.

The organisers said the programme seeks to demonstrate that entrepreneurship requires more than having a business idea. Contestants will be expected to show creativity, leadership, teamwork, marketing ability, financial judgment and capacity to translate strategies into measurable results.

As the competition progresses, the weekly eliminations will reduce the number of entrepreneurs until the emergence of the season 11 champion.

The programme’s return is also being supported by a number of corporate sponsors and partners. While Betano emerges the title and lead sponsor of the reality show, Cadbury, Sun King, Arik Air, Nigerite, Veritasi Homes, GIGM and Jojo & Co are among the associate sponsors. The continued support of the companies reflects the growing importance of corporate partnerships in promoting youth development, entrepreneurship and economic inclusion.

With the 20 finalists now preparing to enter the Titan House, season 11 promises to place the business journeys of young Nigerian entrepreneurs under the spotlight.
