Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates have been received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the club’s latest Süper Lig triumph.
The reception, held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, came after Galatasaray sealed their 26th Turkish league title, finishing ahead of fierce rivals Fenerbahçe in another dominant domestic campaign.
Osimhen, who played a decisive role in the club’s successful season, joined his teammates in a formal visit to the Turkish leader, with members of the squad dressed in suits as they exchanged greetings and handshakes with Erdoğan.
The Nigerian forward delivered an impressive campaign for the Istanbul giants, scoring 15 league goals and contributing five assists in 22 appearances. He also made his mark in Europe, registering seven goals and three assists in 10 UEFA Champions League matches before Galatasaray’s round-of-16 exit to Liverpool.
During the visit, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek presented an official club jersey to President Erdoğan, underscoring the significance of the club’s latest title success.
