A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North, Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso, has said that the recent commendation of President Bola Tinubu by President Donald Trump has exposed the baseless lie of the opposition on the fight against insecurity in Nigeria. In a statement issued on Friday, Kwankwaso, who is also Director of Finance at the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, said the commendation highlighted the administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
“You can see that President Tinubu has earned a commendation from President Trump for his fight against insecurity. It is a fact that Nigeria is getting it right today, and this calls on every true lover of this country to support the government,” he said. Kwankwaso further cited the expansion of military formations across the country as evidence of the president’s focus on security.

“Another thing that shows the love and concern President Tinubu has for the security of all Nigerians is that he has recently increased the number of military structures in Nigeria from eight to 12,” he further stated.
According to him, the move will strengthen the country’s security architecture and improve the operational effectiveness of soldiers. Kwankwaso expressed optimism that Nigerians would soon be able to travel freely across the country “without fear of attack.”
He also commended the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the Ministers of Defence; and all service chiefs for what he called their “unwavering efforts” in strengthening national security.
