Nollywood actress, Pamela Okoye, known for her stunning beauty and exceptional talent, has carved a niche for herself.
In a recent encounter with Saturday Sun, Pamela, unlike some of her colleagues in Nollywood, opened up on the possibility of marrying someone within the movie industry. “Well, there’s no place you cannot find true love. If I get attracted to another actor, of course, never say ‘never’ is one thing I’ve realized in life. If you had asked me this question a couple of months ago, I would have said no. Being in the industry, I thought it was better to marry someone outside it. But now, I’ve realized that life has a way of surprising you. You may find yourself in situations you thought you’d never be in.”
The Corporate Lamba star actress believes that love transcends professions.
“There’s nothing wrong with marrying someone from my industry. They are humans too, and there are loads of amazing people in Nollywood. If I get attracted to someone here and we both decide to marry, then why not?”she asserted.
In an era where stories of troubled relationships often dominate social media, Pamela maintains a positive outlook on marriage. She said: “First of all, I think marriage is a beautiful thing. Inasmuch as we see things on the internet, I still see marriage as beautiful.” For the light-skinned actress, her journey in Nollywood has been marked by perseverance and dedication.
“I worked my way into it. I’m my biggest critic. I watch myself closely in every film I’ve done, analyzing every expression, every interpretation, and every aspect of embodying a character. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it.”
