A truck on Friday morning overran a tricycle in Lokoja, Kogi State, killing two female students instantly.
The dead included a female student of Federal University Lokoja and another female student of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that the heavily loaded articulated vehicle heading for Abuja axis along Felele, in Lokoja lost control and rammed into a Keke NAPEP tricycle heading to town with passengers. Besides the two fatalities, it was gathered that other passengers were seriously injured. An identification card belonging to one of the students was recovered from the accident scene.
It was gathered that the bodies of the two victims had been deposited at the Specialist Hospital Lokoja by some officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
