England international, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Real Madrid is hanging in the balance seven months after he joined the Spanish giants.

This follows reports in Spain that manager, Alvaro Arbeloa has told him to leave the club “for his own good”.

Alexander-Arnold joined the 15-time UCL champions from Liverpool on a six-year contract in May 2025.

However, he has endured a difficult spell at the club, despite enjoying the confidence of former manager, Xabi Alonso.

El Nacional reported on Friday that Arbeloa sat with the 27-year-old for a frank conversation in which the Englishman was told he had no future at the club.

Rumours have also linked him with a potential switch to Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.

However, Daily Mail reported Friday that no such conversation held between the Real Madrid manager and defender.

Alexander-Arnold is currently recovering from a muscle injury and is expected back in February.
