When Folasade Olayinka envisioned a Nigeria where young people could thrive through skill and innovation, she turned that dream into a movement — the Folasade Olayinka Foundation (FOF).
Now in its fourth edition, FOF’s Free Skill Acquisition Programme is opening doors for hundreds of Lagos residents to gain hands-on expertise in Digital Skills, Wig Making, Nails, Auto Gele, and Facials — skills that can transform livelihoods within just one week of intensive learning.
According to Mrs. Olayinka, the initiative is rooted in her passion to see people rise above financial limitations.
“We’re creating a space where empowerment meets opportunity,” she said. “This programme isn’t just about learning — it’s about changing lives.”
To deepen its impact, FOF has launched a ₦1.5 million grant fund to help the most promising participants turn their new skills into sustainable businesses. The foundation is also collaborating with financial and corporate institutions to ensure trainees receive mentorship and support long after the programme ends.
The Free Skill Acquisition Programme is currently open for registration, offering a chance for Lagos residents to acquire valuable skills that can lead to long-term success.
