Victor Osimhen has requested the No. 45 shirt at Galatasaray.
The Nigerian striker is expected to finalize a season-long loan deal from Napoli later today.
According to Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, better known as Buchi Laba, Osimhen chose a specific number to wear.
Laba wrote on X Wednesday morning: “Excl: Victor Osimhen will be wearing number 45 at Galatasaray
“He personally requested for that jersey number cos that was his good-luck number that he wore back at Belgian club Charleroi.”
Osimhen wore the no.9 shirt at Napoli and at his previous club, Lille and the 26-year-old also wears the no.9 for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
