Manchester United is reportedly negotiating with Inter Milan about a swap deal involving Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Denzel Dumfries.

Dumfries, a right-back, spent the early part of the summer with the Netherlands at Euro 2024 in Germany, where they competed for continental supremacy.

The 28-year-old started five of his team’s six matches at the competition, establishing himself as manager Ronald Koeman’s first-choice defender.

In Serie A, the Dutchman was not always a top selection for Inter Milan, with just 19 of his 31 league appearances coming at the start of games in 2023-24.

According to The Athletic, Inter Milan’s Dumfries might become the second Dutch player to join Manchester United this summer, after the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

According to the report, the two teams are in negotiations about a potential swap trade involving Dumfries and current Red Devil Wan-Bissaka this summer.

It is thought that the former England international prefers a transfer to the Italian giants over staying in the Premier League.

As a result, Wan-Bissaka is said to have turned down a transfer to West Ham United, who are hoping to embark on a new era of success under Julen Lopetegui.

Dumfries has only played club football in the Netherlands and Italy, so it’s unclear if he’d be eager to make a high-profile move to England.
