Traditional chiefs of Ikare-Akoko in Ondo State have endorsed the senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba, for a second term.
The chiefs, under the aegis of Ikare Chief-in-Council and led by Chief Ofua of Ilepa, declared that Senator Ipinsagba deserves a second term in office, having performed well for the people of Ondo North Senatorial District.
The endorsement was announced at the end-of-year gathering of the chiefs, hosted by the senator’s team at his residence in the Ekan-Ile area of Ikare-Akoko.
The traditional rulers and community leaders who converged on the senator’s residence lauded Ipinsagba for his people-oriented programmes and development initiatives, which have brought development to the senatorial district.
The traditional chiefs, who spoke through Chief Elemeje of Okela Ikare-Akoko, said the choice of Ipinsagba was favourable to the people of Ondo North Senatorial District, noting that the senator is representing the district well.
He said Senator Ipinsagba has shown commitment to the development of Ondo North Senatorial District since he assumed office, adding that he has single-handedly brought developmental projects to the district.

He specifically mentioned the electrification of Ekan-Ile community and the construction of a civic centre in Oloko Ikare-Akoko.
In his remarks, Chief Elegure of Odo Ikare-Akoko praised the senator’s transformative contributions across Ondo North, citing the construction of classrooms at AUD IV Ishakunmi Ikare-Akoko, installation of streetlights in Ikare-Akoko, and the building of a hall at Agolo Grammar School.
The council also confirmed that the foundation laying for the University of Information and Communication Technology, which was facilitated by Senator Ipinsagba, will commence in the coming year.
Responding to the endorsement, Senator Ipinsagba outlined his forthcoming projects for the senatorial district, which include the construction of Ikare-Akoko market and the construction of Ekan-Ile access road, among others.
He also promised to establish a creative centre in Ikare-Akoko, directing the chiefs to identify suitable land for immediate development.
