Toyosi endorsed as 1st Female President of Lion’s Club Magodo.

Toyosi Ololade, the first female president of the Lions Club District 404A3, was recently honored as the 7th President at a ceremony held at Airport Hotel, Lagos.

This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the history of the club, as Ololade becomes the first woman to hold this esteemed position.

Ololade’s remarkable achievements and dedication to the club were cited as key factors in her endorsement as president. Her outstanding leadership qualities and track record of successful community projects set her apart from other candidates, making her a clear choice for the role. Lion Niyi Balogun, the District Governor of 404A3 Magodo, Lagos, expressed confidence in Ololade’s ability to lead effectively during her tenure, citing her exemplary leadership qualities and numerous contributions to the club.

Despite the delay in her ascension to the presidency, attributed to certain circumstances and the club’s rigorous training and endorsement processes, Ololade’s investiture ceremony was met with enthusiasm and support. Her initiation brought in fourteen new influential members, highlighting her commitment to the club’s growth and development.

The fundraising efforts undertaken during investitures like Ololade’s play a crucial role in financing capital-intensive projects aimed at benefiting communities in need. Ololade outlined plans to utilize the raised funds for various projects, including the construction of boreholes, toilets for market women, and support for schools through the provision of fire extinguishers and educational materials.

While emphasizing the club’s focus on empowerment and humanitarian services, Ololade lamented the lack of government support but expressed optimism for future collaborations. She urged members to fulfill their financial obligations promptly and encouraged others to join the Lions Club, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to serving communities through the contribution of time, talent, and resources.
