Paris Saint-Germain posted the largest squad market value increase of any club in 2025, adding €338 million largely thanks to their Champions League triumph in May that boosted player valuations, according to new data by Transfermarkt.

The respected football information website published the top 20 list of clubs that have gained the most market value in 2025 on Saturday.

This diverse ranking featured a mix of trophy winners, heavy spenders, and promotion beneficiaries, contrasting sharply with rankings of the world’s most valuable overall squads.

Transfermarkt said it calculated these figures by tracking changes in estimated player market values throughout the year, reflecting performances, transfers, and broader market trends.

Newly-promoted Sunderland emerged second with +€248 million gain after an active transfer window, and Italian newcomer Como third with +€223 million from high-profile summer signings.

Nottingham Forest placed fourth with +€178 million, fueled by aggressive recruiting and a strong Premier League finish last season.

Chelsea ranked fifth, gaining €160 million amid a major summer spending spree, while London rivals Arsenal gained +€151 million to secure sixth place.

Real Madrid emerged seventh with a +€144 million increase, while Leeds United, another promoted team, took eighth at +€136 million.

Rounding out the top 10 were Serie A contenders Roma (+€115 million) and French Lique 1 side Strasbourg (+€113 million), noted for smart transfer dealings.

Other notable entrants included Marseille, Barcelona, Tottenham, and Bayern Munich further down the list.
