High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 25 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kogi State, urging voters to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027 to consolidate his administration’s reforms.
Tompolo, the movement’s grand patron, announced the donation through the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, at the inauguration of its Kogi State structure in Lokoja on Monday.
Speaking on Tompolo’s behalf, Pondi said the vehicles would support grassroots mobilisation for the President’s second-term bid, describing his decisions on petrol subsidy removal, direct allocation of funds to local governments and electricity regulation by states as courageous.
He maintained that the reforms had increased resources available to state governments to pay salaries and pensions and execute development projects.
“If somebody has done so much for you, what do you do for the person? You give him more.”
Pondi urged members to take the campaign to homes, workplaces, churches, markets and communities, saying Tinubu needed another four years to consolidate the reforms.
While acknowledging the hardship associated with the policies, he appealed for patience, maintaining that Nigerians would ultimately benefit from them.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commended the donation but cautioned that vehicles alone would not deliver electoral victory without effective organisation and engagement with voters.
“Vehicles do not win elections, but people win elections, conventions win elections and organisations win elections.”
Ododo urged the movement’s coordinators to reach every street, village, market and household, explain the administration’s policies, listen to residents’ concerns and respond to questions with facts rather than insults.

He said Tinubu inherited serious economic challenges and chose to confront them through reforms, arguing that continuity was necessary to consolidate ongoing development efforts.
The governor listed projects in Kogi which he said had received presidential support, including the proposed Economic City and Free Trade Zone and the Kogi International Airport project.
He also cited renewed attention to the Abuja-Lokoja-Benin Expressway, development of universities and primary healthcare centres, road construction, support for farmers and empowerment programmes for youths and women.
According to Ododo, improved infrastructure, security and an enabling business environment would attract investment, create jobs and improve living standards.
He thanked the President for supporting security operations against criminality and efforts to establish state police, saying better security would allow farmers to return to their farms and businesses to operate without fear.
Pledging to lead the mobilisation in Kogi, Ododo urged members to engage communities peacefully and persuade voters through their message and conduct.
Earlier, the movement’s National Coordinator, Mr Sunday Asuku, called on residents, youths, students and farmers to support Tinubu’s re-election.
Asuku described the reforms as necessary for national development and cited the administration’s engagement with organised labour and efforts to prevent strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities as further reasons to support the President.
He urged members to extend the campaign beyond political gatherings by taking their message from door to door, city to city and settlement to settlement.
