Two notable traditional leaders in Yorubaland, Oba Bashiru Odesanya, the Oloto of Oto and Lagos Mainland and the Aare Onikoyi of Yorubaland, Aare Tomori Williams, have paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The respected monarchs visited President Tinubu recently at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, discussing issues relating to national development, among others.
During the visit, Aare Williams commended the President for his tireless efforts and steadfast leadership in navigating the country through economic, security, and political challenges.
Appreciating President Tinubu’s strategic reforms, the Onikoyi of Yorubaland added that it was obvious that his policies are laying the groundwork for long-term national development. He also applauded the President’s commitment to grassroots engagement, unity, peace and progress.
Furthermore, he praised the Tinubu-led administration for implementing key policies aimed at revitalizing infrastructure, boosting investor confidence, and creating employment opportunities for Nigerian youths.
On his part, Oba Odesanya stated that traditional rulers play a crucial part in supporting the federal government’s efforts to foster peace and development across communities. He reaffirmed the support of monarchs in Yorubaland for President Tinubu.
Reacting to the monarchs, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as encouraging. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the government, traditional institutions, and the private sector to achieve sustainable growth and national stability.
Aare Williams, a respected real estate mogul, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of T. Williams Construction Nigeria Limited and Olaleye Property & Investment Limited.
A leading figure in Nigeria’s construction and property reclamation, he is also famed for his philanthropy.
