The Tinubu National Frontiers (TNF) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office, pledging to mobilise support for his re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
The group made its position known yesterday in Abuja when its National Coordinator, Yasmin Binta Sabeh, led members on a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.
The visit also saw Akume inaugurated as the National Patron of the Tinubu National Frontiers Support Group, strengthening the group’s political alignment with the administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement by the Head of Information and Public Relations, Chris Ugwuegbulam, Sabeh said the group was satisfied with the performance of the Tinubu administration, particularly in infrastructure and security. She pledged that TNF would work with the Presidential Campaign Team to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election. “Since the President assumed office, we have seen remarkable achievements. It is now easy for us to sleep with our two eyes closed. As the TNF family, we do not take this for granted and we are ready to work with you,” she said.
The Oyo State Coordinator of the group, Braimoh Adebayo, said TNF remained committed to Tinubu’s re-election, claiming that the organisation contributed to the mobilisation of support for the APC presidential ticket in the 2023 election.
“President Tinubu is a progressive leader. As Tinubu National Frontiers, we pledge our full commitment to his re-election as President of Nigeria,” Adebayo said.
Responding, Akume defended the administration’s record, citing investments in infrastructure, education and security as evidence of its performance since May 2023.
He identified the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and Sokoto-Badagry Road as major infrastructure projects expected to improve connectivity and stimulate economic activity across the country. “President Tinubu has made significant strides in revitalising our infrastructure. The construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto-Badagry Road are developmental projects that will yield high economic and tourism potential,” Akume said.

He also cited ongoing infrastructural development in the Federal Capital Territory as another example of the administration’s performance.
“The transformation of Abuja is also clear evidence of Mr President’s performance. Anyone familiar with the Federal Capital Territory before May 29, 2023, would be struck by the scale of infrastructural change achieved within one presidential term,” he said.
On education, Akume highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), saying the scheme had expanded access to higher education and attracted interest from other African countries.
He said more than six African countries had expressed interest in understudying Nigeria’s student-loan programme.
“Access to higher education is no longer determined by circumstances of birth,” Akume said.
He added that the administration was prioritising technical and scientific education and planned to upgrade polytechnics in each geopolitical zone to offer degree-equivalent qualifications, alongside expanded skills-acquisition programmes.
On security, the SGF cited the establishment of four additional Nigerian Army divisions, the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police personnel and measures to improve the welfare of military personnel as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s security architecture.
The endorsement by TNF adds to the growing political mobilisation around the 2027 presidential election, with support groups and political organisations beginning to consolidate their structures ahead of the contest.
