The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Muslim women to maintain purity and godliness beyond the Ramadan period, emphasising the importance of supporting one another to help the nation recover.
She expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating that the nation will become greater with love, peace, and harmony.
Speaking at a gathering of federal legislators, former first ladies, governors’ wives, and others, she highlighted the progress of various programmes initiated by President Bola Tinubu, noting that they were on track and yielding positive results.
The wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her contributions to the nation and encouraged women to support the current government and the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative.
She also urged women to remember the nation in their prayers during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
The guest lecturer, Marian Lemu, advised the women to remember that God created humans equal and to continue practicing the virtues learned during Ramadan, such as love, piety, humility, and tolerance.
She emphasised that these qualities would enhance the lives of Nigerians.
The event concluded with prayers for the nation, the President, and the world.
