A socio-political group, Nigeria Youth Coalition, has said economic reforms being embarked upon by President Bola Tinubu’s administration would provide a pathway that will usher national development beyond 2031.

The group formally endorsed the president for a second term during a rally organised to create awareness on the importance of Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection and voter participation.

Addressing the gathering, Director General of Tinubu-Ambo Support Group, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to ensuring President Tinubu’s re-election.

“President Tinubu has laid a solid foundation for Nigeria’s transformation and the task before us is to consolidate on these gains. We believe that President Tinubu, at the federal level, will continue to accelerate development and bring renewed hope to our people,” he said.

Speaking to the large gathering of youths, the National Coordinator of the coalition, Dr. Dauda Abdullahi, highlighted Tinubu’s achievements since assuming office in 2023, stressing that his administration had made deliberate efforts to place young Nigerians at the centre of national development.

According to him, the president has not only expanded opportunities for youths to thrive in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, but has also broadened the country’s infrastructure base to open up new economic frontiers.

He noted that the government’s ongoing investments in agriculture, health and education remain crucial for driving inclusive growth, reducing poverty and positioning Nigeria as a leading economy in Africa.

“President Tinubu has shown that he has the political will and vision to create opportunities for the younger generation,”

Abdullahi said. “From the expansion of infrastructure to investments in critical sectors like agriculture, healthcare and education, his policies are targeted at building a better future for Nigerians. It is on this basis that we believe he remains the best option to lead the country beyond 2027.”

The rally, which attracted youths, community leaders and political stakeholders, also served as a sensitisation forum to encourage eligible Nigerians, particularly first-time voters, to collect their PVCs ahead of the elections.

Organisers emphasised that voter participation was the most effective way of consolidating democracy and ensuring that the voices of young people are heard in governance.
