A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has said projects executed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration across Northern Nigeria are visible and can be independently verified, dismissing claims by opposition figures that the government has failed to deliver.
Speaking with journalists in Kano on Wednesday, Iliyasu, who is also the Executive Director of Finance at the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, said the Tinubu administration had prioritised infrastructure, agriculture and social intervention programmes that directly benefit communities across the region.
He accused opposition leaders, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, of concentrating on criticism rather than presenting practical alternatives to government policies.
“Every day they are busy criticizing President Tinubu whose projects across the country, and specifically in the North, can be clearly seen,” he said.
Highlighting ongoing federal investments, Iliyasu stated that the administration was executing infrastructure and development projects worth trillions of naira across Northern Nigeria.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is executing a massive portfolio of infrastructure and developmental projects across Kano and Northern Nigeria, valued at trillions of naira, spanning highways, railways, power and agriculture. These are projects that can be touched and seen, not mere baseless opposition,” he added.
According to him, more than 30 federal projects are currently under implementation in Kano State under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, reflecting what he described as the President’s commitment to the development of the state and the wider northern region.
The APC chieftain expressed confidence that Tinubu’s interventions would translate into strong electoral support in the 2027 general election.
“With the intervention of the President in Kano and other parts of Northern Nigeria, he will get massive votes that will secure his smooth re-election back to office in 2027,” Iliyasu said.
Among the projects he listed was the ₦334 billion Kano-Kongolom Road, a 132-kilometre dual carriageway designed to improve connectivity between Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states, describing it as one of several strategic infrastructure projects underway in the region.
