In a bid to strengthen grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) yesterday inaugurated its Anambra State chapter and rolled out an empowerment programme for hundreds of beneficiaries.
SERHA National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, yesterday, described the occasion as a momentous milestone for the South East region, which he said remains critical to Nigeria’s democratic and economic development.
Addressing party members, Enwere said the newly inaugurated chapter would deploy dedicated ambassadors to champion the message of hope and good governance at the grassroots level across Anambra’s towns, communities, and cities.
“As ambassadors of Renewed Hope, we are tasked with working tirelessly towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Our focus will be on grassroots politics and mobilisation, ensuring that every effort is made to promote the President’s vision for Nigeria,” Enwere declared.
Highlighting Anambra’s legacy of iconic leaders such as Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Odimegwu Ojukwu, Sen Dr Chuba Okadigbo, Margaret Ekpo, Prof Dora Akunyili, and Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Enwere said the state has always produced trailblazers who defend democracy and good governance.
He commended President Tinubu for what he described as significant strides made over the past two years, particularly the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) aimed at unlocking opportunities for regional growth.

“This administration is committed to improving the lives of South Easterners and all Nigerians, enabling them to experience the benefits of Renewed Hope and democratic dividends,” he said.
To boost self-reliance among citizens, the event featured the distribution of various empowerment items, including sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdressing kits, motorcycles, and a vehicle.
In addition, the National Coordinator announced cash transfers of N200,000 each to 100 businesses, N100,000 and N50,000 to 200 and 300 small businesses respectively, and N50,000 to 500 indigent families across the state.
“Our goal is to traverse rural areas, communities, towns, and cities in Anambra State to spread the gospel of this administration. We must re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Enwere charged the audience.
He called on Ndi Anambra and Ndi Igbo to rally behind the Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged that the empowerment programme would continue to uplift the economic status of beneficiaries.
The colourful ceremony, which drew party faithful, community representatives, and traditional leaders, ended with prayers for Anambra State, President Tinubu, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
