President Bola Tinubu has won the presidential primaries in Cross River State by securing 113,912 votes as against his lone opponent, Stanley Osifo, who scored zero votes.
Governor Bassey Otu, who served as the state’s returning officer and coordinator, made the declaration in Calabar on Saturday night.
The governor gave the number of registered voters for the presidential primary in the state as 121,260 and the total votes cast as 113,912.
Otu said that while President Tinubu scored 113,911 votes from the total votes cast, his challenger, Mr Stanley Osifo, polled zero votes.

He, however, noted that the final announcement of the overall winner of the primary would be made in Abuja.
“As you can see, our work here is done, which is to announce what we had in Cross River. We shall transmit the results to Abuja, where they will be computed with the results gotten from other states.
“We are pleased to announce the Cross River result after a hectic day. As you all know, the topography of the state delayed this coalition and subsequent announcement of this result,” he explained.
Peter Odey, Deputy Governor; Elvert Ayambem, Speaker of the state House of Assembly; and members of the National Assembly, among others, were present at the event.
