Tinubu will be re-elected based on landmark achievements -Yari

Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed confidence that Nigerians will vote massively for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election based on his landmark achievements in his first term.

The former Zamfara State governor said Nigerians would be convinced by Tinubu’s deep-rooted faith in God, his performance record and the capacity of the campaign council. He spoke with newsmen in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined the President and other eminent Nigerians to perform the lesser Hajj, Umrah.

Tinubu had at a media chat in Saudi Arabia last week expressed faith that he would be re-elected. “I believe that Allah’s wish in His court must prevail. And there’s no other God but Allah. Allah is the only one who can define a human being, what he will be, and what he will become,” Tinubu said.

Aligning with the President, Yari said: “That is what makes a leader, because when you ask him, he first prayed for the country, prayed for every Nigerian. He also said this election is one that God has selected who will be a leader and only Him can put a leader. So in total, he depends on Allah to do it for him as He did in 2023.

“Allah says we should welcome and work — that all the procedure we are doing to campaign, to talk to people, to convince them, to show them what we have done and achieved, by God’s grace, people will be convinced to elect us.”

He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to securing buy-in for Tinubu’s re-election.
