President Bola Tinubu yesterday defied heavy rains to attend the juma’at prayer and wedding fatiha of Senator Sani Musa’s daughter at the National Mosque in Abuja. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Vice President Kashim Shattima, who received the bride on behalf of the groom, Dr. Yerima Hamma Wabi. Representing the bride’s family was the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Haruna Bahago. The Imam of the National Mosque led the proceedings.
Shettima requested the hand of Alhaji Haruna Bahago’s daughter, Zainab Hanisa Sani, for marriage on behalf of Dr. Yerima Hamma Wabi. An agreement was reached, with a dowry of N200,000, satisfying both families.
The ceremony also included the marriage of Amina Ahmed Sani, daughter of Senator Ahmed Sani Yeriman Bakura, to Muhammed Sani Bala Abubakar, as well as the union of Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam and Hauwau. Both weddings were officiated by the esteemed Imam before the President and his Vice. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Femi Bajabiamila, as well as former governors Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima Bakura of Zamfara, Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa, Rochas Okorocha of Imo, and Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State. Former Senate President Ahmed Lawan and business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote also graced the wedding.
