Tinubu set to commission newly built army arracks in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission the newly built army barracks in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The barracks, located in Asokoro and named after the president, will reduce the acute shortage of living accommodation for Nigerian Army personnel serving in Abuja.

The accommodation and facilities in the newly constructed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Barracks include:

16 Major-Generals’ quarters
34 Brigadier-Generals’ quarters
60 Major-Colonel flats
60 Lieutenant-Captain flats
180 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ block flats
264 Corporal and below flats

The newly built barracks are also equipped with:

Worship centres
Sports facilities
Power house
Perimeter fence with three entrance and exit gates
Good road network
Parking space
Overhead and ground water tanks
Hard and soft landscaping
