President Bola Tinubu has received the highest number of votes at the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries held across the 192 wards in Edo State.
The Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who is the returning officer for the presidential primary, said the election was very peaceful across the state, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu securing the highest number of votes in the election, which was held simultaneously across the 36 states of the federation.
He said President Tinubu scored 131,096 votes while his challenger secured just one vote from all the wards in Edo State.
“The election was peacefully conducted across Edo State. I participated in the election myself as I voted in my ward, and the results have been presented as it is from all the 192 wards in the state, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured 131,096 votes,” Governor Okpebholo said.

The collation officers from the 18 local government areas of Edo State were at the APC secretariat at Ikpopan in the Government Reservation Area of Benin City to present the results as scored by the candidates in the primary election.
In the Edo South Senatorial District, Tinubu scored the highest votes. In Oredo Local Government Area, President Tinubu scored 9,177 votes, while Osifo scored zero votes. In Ikpoba-Okha, Tinubu secured 13,147 votes, and Osifo scored zero votes, while in Egor, Tinubu garnered 10,074 votes, while Osifo scored zero votes.
In Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Tinubu secured 6,858 votes to defeat Osifo with zero votes; in Ovia South West, Tinubu secured 10,044 votes, and Osifo scored zero votes; in Ovia North East, Tinubu secured 7,983 votes, and Osifo garnered one vote. In Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, Tinubu polled 6,159 votes while Osifo scored zero votes.
In Edo North Senatorial District, in Etsako Central Local Government Area, Tinubu secured 4,564 votes, while Osifo got zero votes. In Etsako East, Tinubu polled 7,123 votes while Osifo scored zero. In Owan East, Tinubu polled 5,492 votes while Osifo scored zero. In Owan West, Tinubu garnered 4,139 votes, Osifo zero votes. In Akoko-Edo, Tinubu polled 7,464 votes and Osifo zero votes. In Etsako West, Tinubu secured 11,497 votes; Osifo scored zero votes.
In the Edo Central Senatorial District, in Esan South East, Tinubu scored 5,441 votes; Osifo scored zero votes. In Esan North East, Tinubu polled 4,111 votes; Osifo scored zero. In Igueben, Tinubu secured 5,467 votes; Osifo polled zero votes. In Esan West Local Government Area, Tinubu garnered 6,820 votes while Osifo scored zero votes. In Esan Central Local Government Area, Tinubu scored 5,536 votes while Osifo polled zero votes.
