President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promoted a total of 32, 361 security personnel in the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Fire Service (NFS) and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS).
Whereas 21,385 out of 25,921 officers and men of the NSCDC were promoted, 4,498 of the NIS officers were promoted. Similarly, 4,498 officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service were promoted. The same way, over 1,680 officers of the Nigerian Fire Service out of 1,698 officers that took the examination, were promoted.
Announcing the promotions, the Controller General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the unprecedented promotions. He equally thanked the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo for his doggedness in ensuring that such a huge number of personnel were promoted.
