President Bola Tinubu has urged all public and private schools to prioritise the safety and security of children at all times. He also directed regulatory authorities in the education sector to ensure compliance with safety standards.

According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President made this call in his condolence message to the parents, guardians, and families who lost loved ones in a fire outbreak that affected an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, on Tuesday night.

President Tinubu commiserated with the Zamfara State government and the school’s proprietors, offering prayers for the quick recovery of those receiving medical attention.

The President prayed that God Almighty grants eternal rest to the souls of the departed and comfort to their loved ones.
