President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.

Mama Yilwatda passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.

According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described her as “a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.” He urged the APC Chairman to find solace in the belief that her passing was the will of Almighty God.

The President said, “I enjoin Prof. Yilwatda to accept her death as the will of Almighty God and be consoled by the life of purpose his mother lived.”

He further prayed for the repose of her soul and appealed to God to grant strength to Professor Yilwatda, his family, and all those mourning the loss of Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
