President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Chief Idowu Folorunsho Dada, father of his Special Assistant on Social Media, Segun Dada, describing the deceased as a man whose legacy of integrity, discipline and service will continue to inspire future generations. Dada died at the age of 91.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, President Tinubu extended his sympathies to Segun Dada and the entire family, urging them to take solace in the exemplary life and enduring legacy left behind by the family patriarch.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the children of Pa Dada and the extended family members over the transition of their patriarch,” the President said.
“I especially console Segun at this difficult time for the family. The family should find comfort in the legacy of service and good name left behind by Chief Dada.”

According to the President, Chief Dada distinguished himself during his career as a former Sales Manager at NEXAN Kablemetal Nigeria Plc, earning the admiration and respect of colleagues and associates through his professionalism and commitment to excellence.
Tinubu also paid tribute to the deceased’s role as a devoted father and mentor, noting that he instilled strong moral values in his children, including Segun Dada, who serves in the Presidency.
The President further acknowledged Chief Dada’s commitment to the Christian faith and his exemplary family life, describing his contributions as worthy of emulation.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and asked God to grant his family the strength and comfort to bear the loss.
