President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday met with former Governors of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The two former governors are ministerial nominees but while Wike was screened and confirmed by the senate, the red chamber did not confirm el-Rufai purportedly because or security report.
Both Wike and El-Rufai came separately. While Wike came about 1:40 pm, el-Rufai entered the presidential wing of Aso Rock about 2pm.
Sources at the Presidential Villa hinted that efforts were being made to ensure the senate confirms Mallam el-Rufai.
As at the time of fielding this report, both men were yet to come out of the President’s office.
