President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will commence a two-day official visit to Katsina State on Friday, May 2, 2025, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

During the visit, the president will engage with key stakeholders to evaluate the state’s security situation and explore measures to enhance peace and stability.

Tinubu will also commission two major projects completed by Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s administration: the Katsina Agricultural Mechanisation Centre, aimed at boosting food security and modern farming, and a 24-kilometre dual carriageway, the Eastern Bypass, stretching from Dutsin-ma Road through Kano and Daura Roads to Yandaki in Kaita Local Government Area.

Additionally, he will attend the wedding of Governor Radda’s daughter before returning to Abuja.

The visit is the president’s first to the northern state since taking office in May 2023.
