Former Governor of Imo State and apex leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isiala Mbano LGA, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would continue to deliver on its campaign promises to Nigerians.

Speaking during the inauguration of 12 ward coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) at the council headquarters over the weekend, Ohakim said President Tinubu has “steered the sinking ship of Nigeria to safety,” describing his achievements as beneficial to citizens.

“Nigeria was like a sinking ship before President Tinubu came on board. He has steadied the ship and it is sailing again,” Ohakim declared. He described the Renewed Hope Ambassadors as a philosophy anchored on unity and love, adding that the grassroots structure being built would soon speak louder than online noise.

The Isiala Mbano LGA Coordinator of the group, Chief Ogemdi Ibeawuchi, said the ward coordinators emerged after careful and thorough scrutiny and were chosen to effectively propagate the message of the group across the LGA. He noted that the coordinators would highlight both the tangible and intangible benefits of Tinubu’s policies and programmes.

“Our ward coordinators are expected to work hand-in-hand with party leadership and government officials as partners in progress, to drive home the message that under President Tinubu and our Governor, Hope Uzodimma, major infrastructure projects have been delivered while more are ongoing,” Ibeawuchi said. He assured that the coordinators would not only take the Renewed Hope message to the grassroots but also provide feedback critical to achieving the organisation’s objectives.

In his remarks, Goodluck Opiah, Imo State Coordinator of the RHA, said the delegation was in Isiala Mbano to witness the inauguration of ward coordinators who reflect values of quality, integrity and commitment to service.

“Our LGA coordinators are men of character and capacity. What we have seen here reflects the kind of leadership we desire in the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, from the LGA down to the polling units,” Opiah said. He added that many of President Tinubu’s policies had been misinterpreted despite their far-reaching impact across sectors such as education, agriculture and national security.

Miriam Onuoha, member representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency, also praised the rapid growth of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors under Opiah’s leadership and congratulated the 12 ward coordinators on their inauguration. She affirmed that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the APC would work together seamlessly for the interest of the party at all levels.
