President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, applauding his dedication to leadership and public service.
In a statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Governor Otu’s People First agenda, which emphasises human capital development through key investments in education, healthcare, food security, and cultural empowerment.
The President highlighted Otu’s achievements in education, including the establishment of the University of Education and Entrepreneurship and the College of Agriculture, which aim to equip young Nigerians with skills for sustainable growth.
President Tinubu also praised Governor Otu’s efforts in driving industrialisation via the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone at Adiabo, a project backed by the African Development Bank. This initiative supports national goals to enhance value chains, boost export competitiveness, and generate employment opportunities for the youth.
