President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, on his birthday, describing him as a visionary leader and reform-minded administrator whose commitment to progress and good governance continues to transform the state.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Mbah for the “tremendous progress recorded in Enugu State under his leadership over the past two years.”
He noted that Mbah, a lawyer and philanthropist, has distinguished himself through programmes and policies anchored on service to the people, constitutional democracy, and inclusive governance.

“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” the President said. “Dr. Mbah’s inclusive governance and partnership with other Southeast governors is repositioning the region for economic and political transformation.”
President Tinubu also highlighted the governor’s transition from a successful private-sector career in the oil and gas industry to public service, describing it as a testament to his dedication to national development.
President Tinubu wished Mbah good health, renewed strength, and continued success as he advances his reform agenda for the people of Enugu State.
