President Bola Tinubu has condoled with former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, following the death of her husband, Anthony Adeosun, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 62.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President sympathised with the former minister, the Adeosun family, friends and business associates over the loss.
Tinubu urged the bereaved family to draw strength from the enduring legacy of faith, community service and charity left behind by the deceased, whom he described as a devout Christian.
The President also acknowledged the numerous tributes highlighting Anthony Adeosun’s life of compassion and generosity, particularly his commitment to supporting the less privileged.

He prayed for divine comfort for Kemi Adeosun and the entire family during the period of mourning.
“The President condoles with the Adeosun family, friends and business associates over the loss, urging comfort in the legacies of steadfast faith, community service and charity that the devout Christian left behind,” the statement said.
Tinubu further noted “the outpouring of testimonies on the life, times and good works of Mr Adeosun, particularly his dedication to supporting the less privileged.”
The president prayed that God would grant the former finance minister and her family the strength to bear the loss and give the deceased eternal rest.
