President Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC), former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and others have congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election as Ekiti State governor, hailing the result as a vote of confidence in the incumbent’s “people centred” administration.
Tinuby, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, yesterday, urged him to be magnanimous in victory even as he commended Ekiti residents for conducting themselves peacefully during poll and praised security agencies for maintaining law and order.
“Congratulations to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his resounding victory in Saturday’s Ekiti State gubernatorial election. I commend the people of Ekiti State for their peaceful and orderly conduct, and for reposing their trust in Governor Oyebanji.”
Tinubu described Oyebanji’s win as historic, noting that with this victory the governor “has emerged as the first governor in the history of Ekiti State to win re election back to back.”
He also highlighted achievements from Oyebanji’s first term under the BAO agenda, saying the administration made “significant strides in infrastructure, agriculture, youth employment, education, healthcare, and rural development.”
“The renewed mandate is therefore a clear vote of confidence in continuity, stability, and people centred governance.”
“I urge Governor Oyebanji to remain magnanimous in victory and to carry all Ekiti people along as he consolidates on his achievements in the next four years.”
Tinubu also used the occasion to call on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to sustain investments that will ensure peaceful, free, fair and credible polls ahead of the Osun governorship election in August and next year’s general elections.
He also appealed to opposition candidates and their supporters to rally behind the re-elected governor. “I commend all those who contested the election with the governor for exercising their democratic rights. It is now time to rally round Oyebanji in the task of taking Ekiti to the next level of governance.”
Reaffirming the Federal Government’s willingness to work with the state, Mr. Tinubu pledged continued partnership to “deliver more dividends of democracy and accelerate the Renewed Hope Agenda across Nigeria.”
APC applauds INEC, security agencies
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, applauded both the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies, claiming that their dedication and professionalism contributed to the successful conduct of the election.
While commending the people of Ekiti State for their peaceful conduct and enthusiastic participation throughout the electoral process, the APC NWC noted that it remains exceedingly grateful for their steadfast support, and endorsement of the ruling party.
The national leadership of the party however expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji’s second term will deliver more development and improved living conditions for the people.
It urged the governor to further expand the achievement of President Bola Tinubu’s transformative Renewed Hope Agenda in the state.

Kalu hails resounding re-election victory
Lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, described the outcome of the election as a clear affirmation of the confidence, trust, and overwhelming support Governor Oyebanji enjoys among the people of Ekiti State.

According to the former Chief Whip of the Senate, the victory is a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s visionary leadership, people-oriented policies, commitment to good governance, and remarkable developmental strides across the state.
Senator Kalu noted that the people of Ekiti State have once again demonstrated their belief in continuity, stability, and purposeful governance by renewing the mandate of Governor Oyebanji.
He commended the electorate for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process and praised all stakeholders, including electoral officials and security agencies, for their contributions to a successful and credible exercise.
The lawmaker expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji’s second term would further accelerate infrastructural development, economic growth, youth empowerment, and social progress in Ekiti State.

Sanwo-Olu, Yahaya hail Oyebanji on Ekiti poll victory
Lagos State Governor and Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, Sanwo-Olu, described the outcome of the election as a reflection of the confidence reposed in Governor Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State.
The Lagos governor also commended the electorate for their peaceful conduct during the poll, noting that their support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) demonstrated their trust in the party’s leadership and governance.
According to Sanwo-Olu, Oyebanji’s victory across the 16 local government areas of the state, with 83.54 per cent of the total votes cast, underscores both his popularity and the acceptance of the APC among the people.
He urged the Ekiti governor to remain focused on delivering more democratic dividends and sustaining the developmental strides recorded during his first term in office.
Sanwo-Olu, who served as a member of the APC National Campaign Council for the election chaired by Uba Sani, also praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing what he described as purposeful leadership and direction for Nigeria’s socio-economic transformation through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Gombe Yahaya described the outcome as a strong endorsement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governance agenda.
In a statement issued yesterday by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Ismaila Uba Misilli, Governor Inuwa said the landslide victory recorded by Governor Oyebanji and the APC reflected the confidence and trust the people of Ekiti State have in the party’s leadership and developmental programs.
The governor, who served as a member of the APC Campaign Council for the Ekiti governorship election, expressed confidence that Oyebanji would use the renewed mandate to deepen development and consolidate on the achievements recorded during his first term in office.

Governor Adeleke described Oyebanji’s landslide victory as a testament to the acceptance of the progress recorded during his first term, noting that his re-election would provide him the opportunity to consolidate on his achievements.
“My congratulations to Governor Abiodun Oyebanji on his decisive victory in the recently concluded governorship election in Ekiti.
“The victory is a mark of acceptance of his leadership and the confidence reposed in him to deliver more progress for the state.
