More than 15 houses in Deji Oyelese street, Adeyi Avenue in Old Bodija area of Ibadan were affected by the loud explosion which occurred on Tuesday night.
Witnesses told sunnewsonline.com that three dead bodies have been brought from the debris of the collapsed building, while emergency services are still searching.
Fresh facts have emerged on the suspected explosion or earth tremor that rocked Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Tuesday night.

Law enforcement agencies are flocked tbe area. A source said the incident was caused by a bomb explosion from a private apartment.
Another source said a cooking gas station at Samonda, also exploded and went off in flames.
Meanwhile, Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde has called on residents of Ibadan to remain calm as the government is working to ensure their protection and safety.
The state Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, in statement said all security service chiefs including para military chiefs and Fire Operatives have been deployed by the governor to reign in the spillover from the explosion.
While confirming the incident, the Commissioner said, “residents of Ibadan and immediate environ experienced an uncommon explosion about 8pm this evening.
“There are various interpretations of the incident but it is important for us to state categorically that the state government has taken over and in the full control of the unfortunate occurrence in in order to mitigate the incident.”
