There is no faction in NNPP, says founder

The founder of New Nigerians people’s party( NNPP) Dr Boni Aniebonam has stated that there is no faction in the party.

Dr. Aniebonam, at an interactive session with journalists, yesterday in Abuja, said the party is just experiencing an internal democracy.

He lamented that the party not representing the main aim of its formation which was creating space and choice for ordinary Nigerians.

“There is no faction in New Nigerians people’s party,(NNPP) what is we are experiencing is internal democracy” he added.

He stressed that Nigerians are blaming him for giving Kwankwaso space in the party alleging that he has hijacked the party.

“I found this party 2001 what the main aim of creating space and choice for ordinary Nigerians but it is nolonger representing its name” Aniebonam noted

“All I wanted was a better Nigeria which the involvement of Kwankwaso and the rest have frustrated.”

Speaking on the party’s certificate, he said it is with him, adding that changing of the party’s logo by Kwankwaso is self distraction.

He blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) for not looking out for the original certificate of the party before accepting to change it’s logo.

Dr Aniebonam further urged INEC to be careful as Nigeria’s democracy strongly depends on it.
