Plans are underway to host “The Ultimate Awards” in Osogbo, Osun State this August 2025, an event set to spotlight and celebrate the top entrepreneurs and tech game changers across West Africa. The news was revealed to journalists during a Lagos media parley.

According to the event organizers, the awards aim to honor individuals and startups across West Africa who are leading the way in technology innovation, digital transformation, and problem-solving through tech and businesses.

These include creators of groundbreaking solutions in fintech, agritech, healthtech, education, and software development.

“This is about celebrating those who are building Africa’s future with bold ideas and digital tools,” said Seun Olatunji, Founder of The Ultimate Awards, during the Lagos parley. “We’re recognizing the pioneers, the risk-takers, and the changemakers who are leaving a mark across the sub-region.”

Some of the honorees expected at the event include:

Young West African developers and engineers working on real-time tech solutions;

Founders of influential tech startups and businesses from countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Innovators using technology to impact education, health, agriculture, and commerce.

The ceremony will also feature tech exhibitions, panel sessions, and networking opportunities for stakeholders in the region’s fast-growing tech space. It will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and thought leaders from across West Africa.

The choice of Osogbo as the host city is seen as a nod to the growing spread of tech talent and recognition beyond major hubs like Lagos and Accra. “Innovation is happening everywhere,” said Hon. Kehinde Adebayo, a local official. “We’re proud to welcome West Africa’s finest to Osogbo.”
