Growing up, Christmas was synonymous with wearing “anko” (Uniform clothes). It was a love-hate affair for me as finding the perfect shoes to complement the outfit always felt like an impossible task. Still, the togetherness that it brought and the opportunity to take synchronized pictures created lasting memories.
Incremental growth, reflecting on the past year and the constant navigation it required, I can only give glory to the Almighty God for granting me adequate health and purpose. It’s truly a blessing to see another year.
And the joy of knowing that nothing can beat Christmas Jollof paired with drumstick chicken (The local hen o!), seasoned and fried to perfection, remains unrivalled.
This Christmas, what I plan to do is to spend quality time with loved ones, soaking in the joy of togetherness and recharging for the year ahead.
