The Stellar Initiative, a non-governmental organization that holds at its heart the belief that every boy and young man has the potential to lead, inspire, and shape the future of the world, is set to empower 5000 boys with the Boycode conference, which will be taking place in May 2025, under the theme “Raising Giants: Empowering the Next Generation of Male Leaders.”.
The Boycode Conference is a movement to challenge the narratives that have long confined boys to rigid definitions of masculinity. A movement to equip young men with not just the tools to succeed but the heart to serve and the courage to lead.
Speaking with journalists on Monday, 25th November 2024, in Lagos, Precious Eniayekan, the founder of Stelar Initiative, talked about the initiative behind the program and also the 2025 conference.
“Over the years, we have reached hundreds of boys, providing them with mentorship, life skills, and opportunities that they otherwise might never have had. We’ve seen boys who overcame adversity, found their voice, and are now on a path to becoming global champions, standing tall with hope and purpose.
“But we know that our work is far from done. For every boy we have reached, countless others are waiting, yearning for the same chance to discover their potential. And that is why we are here to cast a vision for the future and to unveil the next chapter of our journey: The Boycode Conference 2025.”
Precious emphasised that the Boycode conference is not just an event but a global call to action that can transform the future of our young men.
“The Boycode Conference is not just an event; it is a global call to action. It is a blueprint for the future, a convergence of ideas, and a celebration of the resilience and brilliance that lie within our young men. It is a space where boys can come together to redefine leadership, embrace vulnerability, and create a ripple effect of transformation that will touch families, communities, and nations. The conference will bring together 5000 boys from across the world for an immersive experience designed to transform lives and build legacies.”
Precious also said discoveries will be introduced for the conference in May 2025.
“At the conference, we will launch the Boycode clinic, a mental health and career advancement clinic dedicated to providing boys and young men with the resources they need to thrive emotionally and professionally. We will also unveil the Boycode Podcast, a platform to amplify the voices of boys and men who are reshaping narratives, challenging norms, and leading with purpose.
“The conference itself will be a dynamic ecosystem, featuring “villages” that embody the future we envision for our boys. The Tech Village will immerse participants in cutting-edge innovation and digital opportunities.
“The event will host a stellar lineup of speakers, including tech founders, managing directors of global conglomerates, renowned foreign coaches, and visionary leaders from various industries. Their insights and expertise will inspire and equip our participants to dream bigger and aim higher, she added.
However, talking about the significance of the conference, AliBaba Akpobome, said that raising the next generation of male leaders requires a lot from all stakeholders.
Alibaba said: “I think that to build the kind of boy that will become a man that we look for in the society, it has to do with education, the environment, peer pressure, innovation, media information, goals and dreams, physical attributes, the empowerment that they get, the mentorship that they get, which is something like this thing that we’re doing now. The guardians and counseling, government policies.”
Other dignitaries present at the events: Nollywood star, Daniel Etim-Effiong and his wife, Dr. Olakunle Soriyan.
