Four former Big Brother Naija housemates have joined the cast of Funke Akindele’s upcoming movie, The Four, which is scheduled to open in cinemas across Nigeria on December 11, 2026.
Akindele, an award-winning actress and filmmaker, announced the release date as she prepares to return to the big screen following the commercial success of her 2023 blockbuster, A Tribe Called Judah.
The new production brings together a high-profile cast comprising established Nollywood actors, musicians and entertainment personalities, with the inclusion of the former BBNaija housemates adding another layer of interest to the project.
The cast includes Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan, Wunmi Toriola, Waje, Shoday and Samuel Banks.
Other members of the cast are Kolapo Omotosho, Ayomide Iwasokun and Vee Victoria “Vee” Adeyele.
The production comes after the strong box-office performance of A Tribe Called Judah, which grossed more than ₦1.4 billion and became Nollywood’s highest-grossing film at the time.
Akindele has also developed a strong reputation for releasing major productions during the festive season, a period that typically attracts large cinema audiences across Nigeria.
Although details of The Four’s storyline have not been fully disclosed, the film is expected to combine comedy, family-centred storytelling and social themes, elements that have featured prominently in Akindele’s previous productions.
The movie’s ensemble cast cuts across different areas of Nigeria’s entertainment industry, bringing together established screen actors, musicians and reality television personalities.
With its December 11 release date, The Four is positioned for the busy festive cinema period, with further details about the storyline, characters and individual roles expected ahead of its nationwide release.
